Dorothy R. Hrdlick (Baumann), 90 years, passed away May 4, 2017 at her home in Appleton, in the comfort of her loving family. She was born January 15, 1927 to William and Eleanor (Perlick) Baumann in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Wauwatosa High School, Class of 1945. She furthered her education in graphic design obtaining a 4 year Degree from the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee. She worked at many different companies in design highlighted by her employment at Kirby, Cogeshall, Steinau Co., Inc. which developed point of sale merchandising, where she met the love of her life. Richard and Dorothy (Baumann) Hrdlick were married on January 18, 1958 at St. John Catholic Church in Madison, Wisconsin. Dorothy held many interests including raising a family, baby sitting her grandchildren, growing fresh flowers and her famous tomatoes in her gardens. She loved to travel the state often camping at Point Beach and Clear Lake near Minoqua. Dorothy and Richard both worked at the Institute of Paper Chemistry and enjoyed raising their 5 cats. Dorothy will be missed by her children Mark Hrdlick and Karen Hrdlick, both of Appleton, two grandsons Justin and Jared Hrdlick and their mother Christine Weber, and a sister Kathleen Auberg of Medford. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents William and Eleanor, a sister-in-law Bunny (Tom) Hartnett, brothers-in-law Ron Auberg and Lee (Margie) Hrdlick and an infant granddaughter Sarah. A Funeral Service for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11 am at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St, Menasha. Please arrive via Highway 441/Highway 10. Interment Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may gather Saturday, at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel, from 9 am until time of Service. The family of Dorothy thanks the staff of Thedacare Regional Medical Center- Appleton 8th floor and Thedacare at Home Hospice for their professional and loving care of her.
