Julie Kulas, age 50 of Kimberly Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 20, 2017 in Appleton of natural causes. Julie was born on April 19, 1966 to William and Nancy (Seavers) Harris. She was a 1984 graduate of the Stevens Point Area Senior High School. She also graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, Class of 1989 with a degree in Communications. She served her country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1986 until 1992 when she was honorably discharged. On August 3, 1991 she married Kirby Kulas at St. Michael Catholic Church in Junction City, Wisconsin. Her most important job was making a home for her family and raising her children. She was also currently employed with Edward Jones as a Branch Office Assistant and also worked part-time with Lake Park Swim and Fitness. Julie loved to spend time with her family and her dog Scruffy. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and dear friend to all who knew her. She loved attending her children's activities, musical theater, and sporting events and through them, learned to love basketball and volleyball. She was a very positive, outgoing and loving person. She was active in her church, serving on the faith formation committee and as a Catechist. She also enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She will be sadly missed by her husband Kirby, her children: Konor Kulas of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City South Dakota; Katherine Kulas of Ripon College in Ripon Wisconsin; Klaire Kulas of Kimberly, Wisconsin, mother Nancy Harris of Junction City Wisconsin, sister Laura Schneider, and brother Bill (Cindy) Harris, all of DeForest, Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Dona Kulas of Medford Wisconsin, brothers-in-law: Kevin (Krista) Kulas of Savage, Minnesota and Keith Kulas of Marshfield, Wisconsin as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father William and her father-in-law Brian Kulas. Funeral Mass for Julie will be on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 620 E. Kimberly Av. in Kimberly. There will be a visitation on Friday evening at the church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a parish prayer service at the church on Friday night at 8PM.
